Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
All you Potterheads out there (is that the fandom name, I don't know. No judging.) will definitely all be prepared for the release of the script of theatre performance Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which is currently being performed all over the country. Now, I have to admit here to not having read any of the Harry Potter books. *everyone gasps in disgust and shock* They are at the top of my TBR list, but every time I finish a book, another one I want to read pops up, just leaving Harry Potter unread. By the time this releases (on the 31st July), I promise I will have read (or be reading) at least one of the HP books. Deal?

Ice Age 5: Collision Course

When I told my 7 year old brother that this July (on the 15th) would see the release of the latest Ice Age (the 5th one): Collision Course. I have to admit, at 12 now you wouldn't think I would be excited for this release, but actually I've seen the trailer and it looks very funny (but then, that's what you'd expect from Ice Age). For all the parents/siblings of Ice Age fans out there - and I know you're secretly a fan too - watch out this 15th for Ice Age 5.

The BFG
On the 22nd July, a movie adaption of the much-loved The BFG will be released to celebrate 100 years of the famous storyteller Roald Dahl. I have to admit, I haven't actually read The BFG yet. Yet. But, I have seen the trailer for this film and looks amazing, and actually just a little bit scary. Not much though. I will definitely be watching this film when it releases!
Play
Stig of the Dump
An adaption of the popular novel Stig of the Dump will be coming to theatres soon, this month, starting on July 19th - August 26th. I have seen announcements and trailers to do with this play and it looks like it's going to be very funny indeed, definitely going to be a popular one amongst families. Also, from the trailer I saw, the set looks really detailed. Starring children's TV favourite Katy Ashworth, who is the presenter of I Can Cook and featured in lots of pantomimes.
So there you have it, the top entertainment this month for families and kids! Let me know if you have any other plans for this month.

HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD!!! My parents are fuming because they thought that their daughter, a full fledged Potterhead (it is an actual term, yes) wouldn't have to deal with the audacious long lines waiting for the new book release, but alas, it was not meant to be. And I'm evily laughing back here. I am so pumped for the BFG!
