My TBR at the moment

Hola Lexicans! So today I am going to be posting about my TBR (to be read, to make that clear if any newbies in the blogging world are reading and are like what). Also I've been trying to write a lot more at the moment in time for NaNo. Which I haven't. But you know. Writing is still my life (besides reading, binge-watching Modern Family and so very productively eating chocolate. Someone asked me the other day 'Writing or Reading' and I was all like don't you dare make me pick between my children. So then they got a bit creeped out and walked off. #SorryNotSorry. anywayyyy back to my tbr.

Goodbye Stranger by Rebecca Stead

So I was reading Jollygirl's blog last night and she recommended the MG book Goodbye Stranger by Rebecca Stead. I hadn't heard of it before but I have read one of Rebecca's previous books (Liar and Spy, which sidenote is SO GOOD.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

This is just one of those books that EVERYONE raves about in the blogging community. I've read Fangirl previously by Rainbow Rowell which I LOVED so I will definitely be trying to read Carry On soon.

The Harry Potter series by JK Rowling

Ah does this really need explaining? Everyone (and I mean, everyone) loves series and I haven't read it yet *cue gasps and angry vegetables being thrown at my feet* I ALWAYS say this month I will read Harry Potter but no, never happens.

Slated by Teri Terry

Firstly can we all just appreciate this author's name YAS. Now Teri Terry came to my library on a visit (and I mISSED it). Anywayy, one of her books caught my eye and it's about a girl called Kyla who's memory was wiped by the government. They claim she was a terrorist but past is coming back, ever so slightly and someone is lying. This sounds so suspenseful and a bit of a mystery (which I love).

Uglies by Scott Westerfield

I was reading The Book People catalogue quite a while ago now and in the (very small) YA section there was this book called the Uglies. Tally lives in a world where everyone is Ugly until they turn 16 where they become a Pretty and Tally cannot wait. On the other hand, her best friend Shay doesn't want to become Pretty and runs away and Tally is left with a hard decision - find Shay and turn her in or stay Ugly forever.

I have loadssss more (and I mean lots) but I could only share a few with you today. If you have any more book recommendations that you think I should add to my TBR then let me know, I have a big love for contemporary and realistic (or mystery) MG/YA books so if you have any recommendations for me, let me know.

Xxx

  1. Oh I LOVE Carry On!! It's definitely such an incredible book afjdskalfd although I did prefer Fangirl just a little bit over it hehe. And I still need to read Slated! I borrowed it form the library once and then ran out of time and had to send it back unread. The shame right? *sighs* But I will get to it eventually!! :D THERE ARE TOO MANY BOOKS AND NOT ENOUGH TIME.😂
