Can I welcome the 3rd interviewee?....

Hey my Lexicans! Today I'm welcoming the 3rd (and maybe) final interviewee to my blog: MorningTime4! Morning is one of my absolute favourite bloggers, so I was honoured to interview her.

Anyway:

1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF (AND YOUR BLOG)

 Hi! My name is MorningTime4, and I blog over at The Ups and Downs of My Not-So-Average Life (http://theworldthroughmywindowsill.blogspot.com). I enjoy listening to the rain pit on my windowsill as I fall asleep and laughing lots with my friends!

 2. BESIDES BLOGGING, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME

 Writing, photography, and theater is pretty much what I do off-line. I've been in theater for some time now and even though I'm super shy, it's helped me crack open my shell because let's face it: isn't life better when you're singing and dancing?

3. WHO (OR WHAT) INSPIRED YOU TO START BLOGGING - AND WHO INSPIRES YOU NOW

 

 

In 2012 there was a blogger known under the name of "Perfectly Imperfect" who blogged about these wonderful blog lessons, and I was amazed. That same year I joined the YWP NaNoWriMo site, I ended up meeting writers with tons of blogs so by then, I ended up following suit.

4. FAVOURITE FOODS?

 I love pitas and strawberry banana bobas-- it's also known as bubble tea. I have a huge sweet tooth too, so pretty much anything sweet.

5. HOW DID YOUR BLOG NAME COME TO BE

 My URL and my blog name have different stories. My URL basically came from a windowsill that I used to sit at and I would just watch the world pass by, wanting to go explore-- it was also a place of reflection for me, where I do tons of my thinking. Windowsills have that kind of power, you know.

And then for the blog name: the summer of 2012 (you guys are hearing a lot about this year, haven't you) was a great year for me because I spent my days playing hard outside (that was the only year that had other kids on my street) until eight in the evening, and at night I would spend visiting Narnian forums because I was going through a Narnia/Potterhead phase at the time. The blog name pretty much came to me when I was trying to go to sleep that summer after I was thinking about how to describe my life as a whole. I think of questions like that all the time. ^.^


6. WHAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO LOOK FOR IN A BLOG

 Fresh quality content just comes off as the number one thing to look for. I will read tons of blogs by readers of many ages, but if a blogger does not bring something new to the table consistently then that completely turns me away. I also wish for the blogs to have a clean design and for the authors to not only be friendly and clean, but to be interactive with the readers (interactive = replying to comments and visa versa). { - Lexie: TOTALLY agreed! }

7. FANDOMS?

 Harry Potter (even though I'm still shocked I'm placed in Gryfindor), The Chronicles of Narnia, anything Marvel based and of course, the television shows of Doctor Who, Once Upon a Time, and Agents of SHIELD.

8. WHO ARE YOUR FAVOURITE BLOGGERS (AND WHY)

 I started my blog in early 2013 during the end of what was known to some as the end of 2010-13 blogging era. That's where some of my favorite bloggers are from, but they either have quit blogging or they're in college and don't post frequently. (I know, I'm so old, blog wise.) The blogs of Rose (http://selfknownblog.com), Mackenzie (http://thoughts-of-a-fangirl.blogspot.com/, Tane (http://tangerinetane.blogspot.com), Adelaide (http://downbythewillows.blogspot.com), Cally (http://wordspassingyouby.blogspot.com), and Jordy (http://being-hidden.blogspot.com) are a few of my favorites, but I have many, many more.

9. WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE BLOG POST OF YOURS

 

 

This. Is. A. Hard. Question. I love a lot of my posts for different reasons. Can I pick several? On the serious note, I wrote about quality versus quantity (http://theworldthroughmywindowsill.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-hard-truth-about-blogging.html) but on a lighter note, I wrote about weird moments that happen to me everyday (http://theworldthroughmywindowsill.blogspot.com/2015/06/life-stories.html).

 10. WHAT WAS YOUR BEST EVER BLOG MOMENT

 I could say that my best blog moment would be my quality vs. quantity post, but honestly, every time someone tells me that a post related to them or it has inspired them-- literally, that means the world to me. I love all of my readers and I try my best for them, because they keep me going.

11. DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN THREE WORDS

 Um... Quirky, Idealistic and Optimistic!
