It's Nearly Friday - ideas for the weekend.

Calling all Harry Potter fans!!!

This weekend, on Saturday 30th, if you are in London you could pop over to Kings Cross to see this 3D book jacket of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.

You can get inside the world of Harry Potter (well his book jacket at least!) and take a cool selfie of yourself next to cartoon Harry!

This is free and running from 7 am to 7 pm on Saturday so if you are in London at that time why not pop along? Unfortunately, I am not in London on Saturday. :(

It's Finally Friday - ideas for the weekend.

We've had a massive heatwave, yeah!! Finally you'd believe it's actually summer. And because of that this weekend I think you should have a BBQ - but not on your own, invite friends and extended family to join this garden event.

You could lay deck loungers out for everyone and even have an ice-cream bar for the little kids with a wide selection of ice-creams and lollies to refresh you. Wine would be served out and you might even be able to hire out a bouncy castle for us kids. To make the garden more magical you could hang up fairy lights to switch on once the sun started to set and the day became night.

Must haves for any BBQ:

- Sausages (chipolatas or Richmonds are my faves)
- Burgers
- Buns
- Beef
- Chicken
- And salad for all those veggies and people on a diet you know.
- Not to forget ice-creams, duh!!!
- Plus cool drinks are always popular.

Remember to enjoy yourself and tell your parents not to drink too much wine!!

It's Finally Friday - ideas for the weekend

Yay it's the weekend but boo as it's raining where I am and looks like it's going to be raining all weekend, which is a shame after our summery weather!

Following on from my fashion post from earlier on I thought this weekend it would be a good idea to go shopping. Most clothes shops will have just released their summer section (though if it continues like this that won't be good).

My mum bought me this lovely dress from H&M so I'll definitely be nicking the catalogue she found that in!!!
If we are going shopping I know the top I'll be buying:

The Tie Hem Blouse:
£5.99

How lovely is that, I know right?!

It's Finally Friday - ideas for the weekend

Happy Easter everyone! And by Easter I'm mean the celebration coming in just TWO days!! So this weekend I think you should create your own Easter party for you and your family.

For inspiration I thought I might give you a couple of ideas to get you started:

1. Have an Easter egg hunt
Everyone loves these classic hunts so whether it's simply hiding a few little eggs around your house to making a major trail with clues and directions.
Tip:
Hide the chocolates in and under things as well as putting them on things .

2. Make an Easter buffet
For lunch create a special Eastery buffet with hot-cross buns, chocolate crispy nests, and LOTS of sweets and anything that a member of your family has given up; if you do this make sure it is Easter Sunday or later otherwise it would be plain evil!
Tip:
Arrange the foods nicely so it looks attractive.

3. Easter dress-up competition
Pick a judge before the party and tell everyone before hand to come dressed up, maybe as a rabbit, chick, lamb, anything you can think of. Then at the party the judge can pick a winner for the Best Costume.
Tip:
Does not work if your party is a surprise.

I wish you a great Easter and hope that these are helpful ideas.

It's Finally Friday - ideas for the weekend.

Having had our holiday, you'd think that maybe I'd like to just rest this weekend but, no, I love to be out and about doing stuff.  As it's only a week until Easter, I'd like to go to a National Trust place as all across the country they're having a Cadbury's Easter Egg Trail.

Last year I went with my family to Cliveden and we had such a great time. All us children loved it and I'm sure the adults loved seeing their kids running around really happy. You have to follow lots of clues and get a mini passport stamped on the way and then at the end you get an Easter Egg. How great is that? I love going especially to Cliveden as it's a good way to slip in a walk and burn off some energy and then you get a yummy treat. I adore chocolate so it sounds great!

If you're quite a creative person then get your thinking caps on and enter the Design Your Own Egghead competition and the winning design will be actually printed onto the Cadbury Eggheads in 2015. Wow what a prize! To enter simply pick up a sheet at the trail or download one here.
